Safety
is our top priority, and we are committed to maintaing a safe and welcoming atmosphere at all times. To achieve this, we provide informative and patient instruction for all the necessary skills you would need to climb inside our gym. There is a lot of information on climbing out there, some of which is false. Because of this, we do not allow peer-taught lessons on belaying or other safety skills, to standardize the level of climbing in our gym.
Personal Responsibility
is an essential concept that everyone should grasp before attempting to climb at our facility. The floors have ample padding, we check the ropes and equipment on a monthly basis and we have competent setters putting the holds up. Despite all precautions that can be taken, climbing is still an inherently dangerous activity, and it is ultimately your responsibility to make sure that the people you are climbing with are accomplished belayers, that you have received appropriate instruction, and that you are aware of the risks you are taking. A huge percentage of accidents that occur in climbing gyms are due to people who assume that we have eliminated all possible risks by being a climbing gym, and that they are free to test the limits of gravity without consequence. Let us be clear: GRAVITY STILL APPLIES within the confines of the Warehouse Rock Gym, and what goes up must come down. It is your job to ensure that you receive the appropriate instruction so that you know how to get back down to the ground safely.
With this in mind, we have some rules that customers must abide by in order to use our facilities:
WRG Rules

All climbers must sign a liability waiver. Children under 18 years of age MUST have their waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian
All climbers must be certified to belay or lead climb by a WRG employee
